What do I need to bring to a sound bath?
We highly recommend that you bring a yoga mat to lie down or sit on during the experience. You may also wish to bring optional items such as a blanket, pillow, and/or eye mask to further enhance your comfort.

Do I have to lie down during a sound bath?
You can be in whatever position you feel most comfortable in, whether it be lying down, sitting (in a chair/on a cushion/on the floor), or standing up. You may also wish to shift positions during the course of the sound bath which is welcome as long as it doesn’t disturb others or interfere with their experience.

I’m very sensitive to the energy of the space I’m in; is a group sound bath safe for me?
Before beginning any sound bath, Kate clears the energy of the space and sets the intention for a beautiful and resonant healing experience so that when you walk in, the room is ready and you feel like you’re walking into like an energy field that is already powerful, supported, grounded and safe.
She calls in the guides and ancestors of the attendees as well as a collective healing energy to be present during the sound bath. Throughout the process, Kate attunes to the energy in the room and offers healing specific to whatever is needed through the conduit of sound. These practices create a container for each person to have their own unique experience.

I’m very sensitive to the energy of other people; is a group sound bath safe for me?
Kate will guide the group through a ground practice as well as other practices to create safe energetic containers for the healing session, however, if you are highly sensitive to the enery of others, you may still pick up external frequencies. Private sound baths are an excellent way to experience the transformative and healing power of sound without the exertion of protecting your energetic space.

What’s the difference between private vs. group sound baths?
It’s very similar to the difference between private tutoring and being one of many students in a classroom. With a private sound bath, you get so much more energetic attention and Kate is able to receive and convey intuitive messages specifically for you. In group sound baths, those intuitive messages still come through, however, they often come in louder for certain individuals over others.
-
What’s the difference between in-person vs. virtual sound baths?
Virtual sound baths can be powerful energy healing sessions, even when you aren’t physically in the presence of the sound vibrations. Many of Kate’s clients travel the world and receive sound baths virtually because the benefits of nervous system regulation and relaxation are still received. With that said, in-person sessions are even more effective not only because participants are physically near the vibrations of the sound instruments, but also because Kate’s nervous system is present and contributes to the overall energy-shifting process.

Do I have to meditate during the sound bath?
Kate will guide you through a practice of finding stillness, getting grounded, creating your own energetic cocoon, and becoming attuned to the vibrations of your body. It is not a meditation so much as it is tuning in and allowing for energetic shifts to happen.

Will I have a spiritual experience during the sound bath?
Each person’s experience is entirely unique and will vary each time. Some people experience the sound bath simply as deep relaxation and rest, while others have profound and mystical spiritual experiences such as astral travel, meeting their ancestors or guides, or even experiencing past lives. Many participants have shared that creative blocks and internal conflicts have been cleared through their participation in a sound bath.
The most important thing is to trust that you will only experience what your soul knows that you are ready to experience; nothing more and nothing less. Kate is well-versed in supporting individuals and groups through energy healing, however, only you can determine whether the experience is for you.
